Only a memory now

of unease...
of enchantment...
of desire entwined with 
remorse
emotions past
present
yet to be
 
Gone now...
 
Released from within
in a flurry of
hurried awakening
 
I hear you chuckle
as you escape
the clutching fingers
of my mind
