sleep walking
stumbling through life
with blinders
 
unaware
apathetic
but restless
for change
 
knowing
what needs to be done
unable
to make it so
 
stranded
in the dream
in the "what if"
in the delusion of
what life might've been
 
awakening;
brief but edifying
bringing truth and purpose
but no drive
 
the sky is 
limitless and blue
but my heart is
inflexible
and
empty
 
walking
in my sleep
living
through nocturnal reverie
is all i have left
 
the transparent walls
are my survival
