[fictional faux pas]
As far back as I can remember, I've always loved books. I learned to read at the tender
age of two and have been devouring tomes with my eyeballs ever since. Oddly enough,
considering my addiction to reading, I never seriously thought about writing until recent
years; I was always too busy swooning over the works of others.
However, within the past few years, I've taken more of an interest. I find it very
satisfying, and even though I think I suck, and even when I end up trashing something I've
written, I still feel a sense of pride (that I actually had the balls to attempt it) and
accomplishment.
By no means do I consider myself an expert, but I'd like to think I've improved over the
years. I used to stick to fan-fiction because I almost always end up thinking my own ideas
stink, but lately I've been exhibiting more courage and branching out into more original
stuff - not that that's necessarily a good thing for you, the reader.
There are times when I feel as if every possible idea in the universe has been either
done, or in some cases, overdone, but I still plug away, though it's rare these days that
I manage to complete anything.. I'm so preoccupied with writing that I even write down my
dreams (when I can remember them) and try to make them into stories - though that doesn't
always turn out to be a raging success.
Much of the material in this section will likely remain incomplete, which is unfortunate,
because, believe me, the majority of it could use some heavy editing. But that's fine. The
fact that I managed to scribble down anything at all is a bloody miracle. If you knew me,
you'd be nodding your head.
[SO-CALLED AUTHOR'S NOTE]: I used to have my "get it on" fiction here, as
well, but have removed it so as not to frighten innocent woodland creatures and small
children.
